Hi, my name is Charles Levi. I was born on Friday, January 18, 2002, at 10:04 p.m. I weighed 7 lbs. 5.7 ozs. and was 18 1/2 inches long.
Mommy and Daddy found out Mommy was expecting me in June of 2001. Mommy was very excited and so was Daddy. He almost fainted.
Most of Mommy's pregnancy went pretty well until right after Christmas. See I was not expected until the middle of February, but I was in a hurry to finally see my Mommy and Daddy. I tried coming a little early. Well, only about 8 weeks, but the doctors talked me out of it so Mommy had to spend a week in the hospital. Then, Mommy was only home three days and again I decided I was ready to come, but yes, again, the doctors talked me out of it.
Mommy was released from the hospital just in time to go to her baby shower. Everyone must really love me, because she sure got alot of stuff. Then, a few days later, I was on my way and I did not let the doctors talk me out of it. I was born five weeks early, but the doctors were prepared for the worst since I had given them so much notice.
But, as Mommy and Daddy expected I came out just fine. At first, I was not able to regulate my own temperature so they put me in a machine to help me. I wasn't scared, though, because Grandma went in to see Mommy and Daddy went with me. Mommy soon after arrived to see me.
I was so happy to see them. I think they were happy to see me to because Mommy started crying. Finally about five in the morning I was able to regulate my own temperature and Mommy and Daddy got to hold me. It sure feels good in their arms. I still like to be cuddled to this day.
Well, I am now almost a year old. This past year has been so much fun. I had so many new things to explore. In addition, I found out I can get around by myself, and I found alot of things I am not supposed to get into.
Mommy and Daddy say they have baby-proofed, but I fool them everytime.

Mommy took me to the doctor today for my one year check up. The doctor said I was doing great. I now weigh 19 lbs. 13 ozs. and I am 31 1/4 inches long.
I will reach 20 lbs yet!!!
The doctor said I have a great personality. I love to laugh when he puts the stethescope on my tummy. I also like to play with the stethescope. He lets me play with it while he looks in my ears.
In addition, I no longer have to worry about the Chicken Pox. Yep, I caught them on Christmas Eve. You can kinda see them in my candy cane photo on the Christmas page. Mommy and Daddy said I handled them really well. I am glad they are over.
OH, YEAH I ALMOST FORGOT
I AM WALKING!
I took my first steps all the way across grandma's floor on Saturday and have been practicing them ever since.

I went to the doctor the other day because I was having high fevers again. He said I had an ear infection so I had to be put on medicine. When I went back for my check-up he weighed me and measured how long I am and what my head circumference is. I weigh 21 lbs. 7 1/4 ozs. I am 31 1/4 inches long and my head is 17 1/2 inches around. Mommy and Daddy say I have a big head because it is hard to get shirts over my head.
I am enjoying Spring Break. Today I worked cattle with Daddy and Grandpa. I LOVED IT. I took a little tumble but when Mommy went to take me inside to see if I was alright, I screamed and screamed. I wanted to stay outside so I let her know it. When she handed me back to Daddy I gave her a big smile and waved bye bye. I think she got the hint because she went back inside and left us men to our job.
Tonight I get to go to Grandma Linda's and see her new colt. I can hardly wait. I have went out and seen Sundance everytime I am at Grandma's to see if the colt had arrived, but it was not in a hurry to get here. It waited almost two weeks over to come. Well, I guess not everyone is like me.
I better go. I could talk someone's ear off if they would let me.
I am saying all kinds of stuff now. I love to say UH OH when I drop things and Thank You when I am given things. I am also starting to follow directions. You know, except the one that is spelled NO. I just pretend I don't hear them when they tell me that.

Sorry I have not written in so long. I have been so busy with day to day activities. You know playing, sleeping, eating, and not listening to Mommy and Daddy takes up alot of time. I am now 23 lbs. 1 oz. and 32 inches long. I love to play outdoors all day long and I mean all day long. I cry to go out when I wake up in the morning and cry when they bring me in the house in the evening. I play in my pool, with Sadie and Patriot, with Grandma's horse( I will tell a story about that later), and I just can not stay away from the 4-Wheeler and Tractors. Mommy made me special ear proctectors. Boy do I look funny with them in. Oh, about the horses. Grandma Linda was going to go riding the other day and put me on Cajun before she left. She did not get to ride that night. I would not get off. I am a natural. I mean I was not hanging on and Grandma took off walking and I went all the way back in the saddle and came back up and quickly grabbed for the horn. BUT I STAYED ON. All Mommy and Grandma was worried about was if Mommy got it on video tape. HELLO, I ALMOST FELL OFF. And they were worrying about getting it on video tape. Anyways, from that day I just love those horses even though I call them cows. And, yes I still let Mommy and Grandma lead me on them as long as the video camera is put up.
What else has been going on? I went on vacation with Grandma and Granndpa Johnson and Mommy and Daddy in late June. I loved the Lake. Hopefully Mommy will put some pictures on the sight. I lost my Drawers in one of the pictures so maybe she will not post that one. Or maybe she will at least cover the rear with a cute graphic. HOW EMBARRASSING. In front of the whole lake and my rear was showing. Well I lived through it. I also went to Silver Dollar City.
I spent the evening with Grandma and Grandpa Roberts the other night. I got to go shopping, (What a wonderful occupation!!!) see my other relatives, go for a walk and see all of Grandpa's cows. That was the funnest part. I just love those animals.
Well, can you believe Daddy wants the computer so I better go back to my playing and let him on here.

I'm back. Lately I have been learning new words and phrases. I am also learning to clean up my toys. I love to ask where we are going, where is Dada, what are we doing, who's that. I also say there it is. And I have learned some great expressions!!! I can say Wow Baby, Good Boy, Oh Boy, Oh Baby. I mainly say these when I do something funny on my truck or trick Mommy and Daddy. Mommy 'bout fell over the first time I said Wow Baby. She thinks Daddy and Uncle William have been teaching me these.
I have also been coloring alot lately. The other day I colored a cow and tractor. Mommy might scan them and put them on the site. She's proud of them and they are on our refrigerator. Oh, I also know the color orange. Grandma Linda has an orange play tractor and I love to say orange tractor. Mommy still trying to figure out how I learned that the tractor was orange.
It finally started raining around here, so I have not been able to go out and play lately. Daddy took me out in the rain last night to play, but I started shivering so he took me for a ride in the explorer to go look at the hayfield. I was all dry by the time we got home.
Well, gotta go see what I can get into now.
As I grow, I hope I have more stories to tell.
I hope you enjoyed my stories.
